Best Plants When Selling a House

(Above Photo is actually artificial, but that's not really necessary with a little care & water)

Let's face it, taking care of indoor plants is not the easiest job.  There are actually business that come to your home weekly just to maintain your indoor plants.  Not all of us can afford to have some one do that.  That's probably why most people don't have the kind of plants they really want to have and enjoy.  There's an easy solution to the problem, or should I say there's a way to make life a little easier.  I'm not suggesting no maintenance plants.  That does not exist(even artificial plants need cleaning every now and then and they cost 5 times the price).  What I am suggesting is low maintenance plants.  It's all about the visual when someone walks in.  You can wow your prospects with everything including beautiful plants.  The answer is succulents and low water use, orchids(one ice cube a week should do) and artificial.  And you can mix up the combination of all.  How easy it is to change out an orchid or a succulent if it dies?  Read a little about maintenance of the above mentioned and buy some gorgeous containers to hold them in(make sure it's water proof so you don't ruin furniture).  Make sure they are not over watered-they will drown and rot-this is actually the most common way people kill their plants.  You too can create a beautiful accent to the home you are staging.

Remember to buy containers that make an impact, containers that are elevated, trendy, won't  scratch or stain surfaces and make people wonder "where can I get that?"  It's all about making them want it.  Make it look like something they want to take a picture of or duplicate for a party, something they won't forget.
